Blue skies reigned for most of the day at the Culture and Sports Day held at Pearse Park in Crumlin on the May bank holiday.
Organised by Crumlin United and Sports Against Racism, Ireland (Sari), the mini-leagues, cricket, face painting and food all added to the colour of the day, while displays of Capoeira, drumming and the fabulous Punjab Dancers thrilled the crowd.
“We were blessed with the weather,” said a delighted Frank Buckley of Sari. “The kids were mad to play football today as we had FAI coaches here. It’s a great turnout, a great mix.
“Thanks go to the local scouts for doing the barbeque. And we are very happy with the result of the big match today. Our Sari team representing Brazil played Crumlin United and we won the cup so a great result for Sari.”
Cormac Ryan, manager of the Sari Brazil side, accepted the cup on behalf of the team (pictured far right).
