GENDER-BASED violence in areas emerging from conflict will be the focus of a Dublin talk this week.
Carole Doucet, a senior gender advisor to the UN mission in Liberia, will facilitate the discussion, which will take place on Thursday 22 October from 2.15pm–4pm at the Irish Aid Information and Volunteering Centre on Dublin’s O’Connell Street.
The seminar will focus on gender equality in Liberia: progress and key issues; Unmil’s role in gender equality; the recovery/transition phase; and the impact and involvement of women in various processes.
