This week’s recipe is called paneer toast. This is a very tasty snack, and different to the routine toast varieties. Hope you like it!
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup grated paneer (cottage cheese)
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp ginger powder
- 1/2 tsp chilli powder (optional)
- Fresh coriander leaves, finely chopped
- Salt to taste
- Cheddar cheese to garnish
- Sliced bread (10-12 slices)
- Butter to spread
Method
Spread butter on the bread slices to prepare them.
In a bowl, mix the paneer with all the other ingredients except the cheddar cheese.
Spread this mixture onto half of the buttered bread slices, then garnish with the cheddar cheese, cover each with the other bread slices, and toast under a hot grill.
Serve hot with ketchup.
