New website aims to promote Poland as travel destination

Travelling to or investing in Poland just got easier thanks to a brand new website TraveltoPoland.pl is the brainchild of Marcin Kulik, founder and CEO of MK Design Studios, who launched the comprehensive website on 28 July last.

The site features travel tips, places of interest, activities, geography, history and information on business opportunities.
The easy-to-use interface is central to Kulik’s main goal in creating the site, which is to promote all aspects of Polish tourism and culture in a way that’s readily accessible to a global audience.
“When you turn on the telly, you see adverts for Scotland, Abu Dhabi, but not Poland,” Kulik told Metro Éireann.
He also discussed the ‘information gap’ that exists with most travel sites and marketing, which is why he says he constantly maintains and updates his site.
Adding to this is the forum section, which is designed to get people into conversation about travel, ranging from trip logistics to visa applications.
Kulik continued: “We are not only describing, but the target is to get people to these places, guidebooks don’t tell you everything.”
Having moved to Ireland from Poland in 2004, Kulik channelled all of his expertise into a project that would elevate the status of his home country, not just for foreigners, but also for those of Polish descent living abroad.
An online shop was recently added to the site that sells various items and souvenirs. Although it keeps the theme of tourism, Kulik said that the new addition is mainly for international or second-generation Polish who still feel a connection with their roots.
Regardless of nationality, TraveltoPoland.pl aims to spark interest in anyone who has ever thought about making his or her way to Poland.
