God is not looking for a perfect person

A lot of people today have the ‘ready made’ mentality, even the Christians. Many people who are qualified and are available for work in the field of employment are frustrated because they are not employed. Many of them have sought for employment many times, but they have been refused a job because they have no previous work experience or reference from their former employer. I have personally shared from this frustration, when I was looking for work in Dublin.
This has been many people’s frustration, especially in these days of economic recession, depression, oppression, suppression and all other ‘-essions’! But I ask a question: how can the person who just came out of college be professional in the field of his study if he did not practice? This is the problem with people in our world today – they want something that is ‘ready made’ for them.
But this is not the case with God. With God, it is totally the opposite. We qualify for God’s employment when we receive the offer of salvation He has made available through His son Jesus Christ. We obtain His job offer when we make ourselves available for it. God is the only one who puts the phrase ‘practice makes perfect’ to its best application
God’s accepted CV is His word. His word is His son Jesus Christ and those who accepted His son are qualified for His job offer. “But as many as received him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name” (John 1:12).
Availability is the very centre stage of God’s job offer in the lives of those that God will use to accomplish His will on earth. It is not their professionalism or their perfectionism that they may try to keep in the centre. It is those who make themselves available that God will use. It does not matter if they are ‘perfect’ or not. To them, what matters is that they are ready to walk with God, as they walk their way toward perfection.

This is an abridged and edited version of the introduction from my book God is Not Looking for a Perfect Person. My book reveals the essential truth on how God uses what is rejected of men, for His purpose and for His glory.
