Each year at the People of the Year Awards, organised by Rehab and presented live on RTÉ One by Gráinne Seoige, we shine a light on some of the many unsung heroes across the length and breadth of the country. This year we want to do so again, but we need the assistance of Metro Éireann readers.
If you think you know someone who has done something extraordinary, who has made a real difference, who has gone above and beyond the call of duty, and whom you feel deserves a People of the Year Award, then nominate them now!
In addition, there are specific categories for Young Person of the Year, International Person of the Year, Sports Person of the Year and Community Group of the Year.
The closing date for entries is 29 June 2012 and nominations can be made at www.peopleoftheyear.com or by writing to us at People of the Year Awards Office, Rehab, Roslyn Park, Sandymount, Dublin 4.
This is your chance to honour inspiring people in your county. Once the nomination is made, leave the rest to us, and on Saturday 15 September, who knows – a People of the Year Award winner could well be next door to you!
