About Time   Dir: Richard Curtis

About Time is the latest film from Richard Curtis, writer of hits like Four Weddings and Funeral and Notting Hill, which takes his romantic comedy formula and adds a twist of time travel.

At the age of 21, Tim’s father tells him that the men in his family have always had the ability to travel through time. He can’t change history, but he can change what happens and has happened in his life.

Tim can’t resist the temptation to use his newfound gift to improve his lot. He moves to London for work and quickly falls in love with a girl named Mary, with Tim’s special ability bringing a new ‘dimension’ to their relationship.

But he soon realises that not every problem can be solved in this way, as when he accidentally erases the timeline, he must try and win Mary over again.

Starring Domhnall Gleeson, Rachel McAdams and Bill Nighy, About Time is in cinemas now.
