Dublin’s Central Library to host careers workshop

Last update - Sunday, September 1, 2013, 14:47 By Metro Éireann

Dublin City Public Libraries’ career direction and development programme for 2013 will continue on Thursday 5 September in the business information centre at the Central Library in the Ilac Centre.

The ‘15 Steps to a Winning CV’ event will include a free workshop on how to compile a CV that could win you the ideal job, to be presented by Aoife Prendergast.

The library says Prendergast, who is currently managing the Dublin office of career training company Slí Nua Careers, has a wide training and lecturing experience in both Ireland and the UK.

She completed both her undergraduate (BSc, Diploma sa Gaeilge) and postgraduate studies (MA in Health Promotion) at NUI Galway, and has worked with a variety of client groups and settings.

According to the library, Prendergast’s substantial lecturing experience makes her uniquely positioned to offer a comprehensive understanding of the challenges that our clients face.

Booking can be made either in person at the Central Library business information centre, by e-mailing businesslibrary@dublincity.ie or by calling 01 873 3996.
