Last update - Thursday, July 5, 2007, 00:00 By Metro Éireann

This week’s recipe is Baby Corn Bhaji. It’s a tasty snack, and is very easy to prepare. Hope you like it!

Ingredients

- 6 ears baby corn
- 1 tsp chilli and garlic sauce
- 3/4 cup gram flour
- 1/4 cup semolina
- Pinch of baking soda
- Salt to taste
- Oil for deep-frying

Method

Cut each of the baby corn ears into six pieces lengthwise.
Put the pieces in a bowl and marinate them with the chilli and garlic sauce plus a little salt for half an hour.
Prepare the batter by mixing the gram flour, semolina, baking soda and a little salt with water.
Then dip each piece of the baby corn into the batter, and deep-fry them in oil till golden brown.
Serve hot with ketchup.
