Lithuanian artist Vilija Kisieliūtė showcasing work at major Dublin art exhibition

Painter Vilija Kisieliūtė is set to be the first Lithuanian artist to show her work at the biggest art fair in Ireland.

Kisieliūtė, a member of the Lithuanian Painters Association and the Lithuanian Women Painters Association, is proud to be the first representative of Lithuanian art at Art Ireland, an exhibition that will host nearly 200 artists and galleries from all over the world for the ninth time this year.

Kisieliūtė has previously been invited to exhibit at prestigious art events in Poland, Germany, United Arab Emirates, France, and Lithuania.

“It wasn’t difficult to decide where I would like to showcase next,” she explains. “My daughter lives in Dublin, so my heart is here. Ireland and its people have made a big impression on me. Now I would like to show them one of the best sides of Lithuania – our art.”

The Lithuanian’s work is not attributed to any one trend and is not divided into clearly defined periods. The painter loves experimenting and never lets herself to get bored by painting in one particular style. Her collection consists of lyric, feminine landscapes as well as realistic still-lives and brave abstractions, pulsating with masculine power.

Art Ireland takes place from 14–16 November at the RDS Main Hall in Dublin. For more information, please visit the Art Ireland website at www.artireland.ie. To view works by Vilija KisieliÅ«tÄ—, visit www.artvilija.lt/abstract.html.
