Amnesty International will hold a two-day advanced training course on Human Rights Based Approaches at the National College of Ireland on 27–28 January 2009.

The course is directed at individuals working in the public, private and voluntary sector who have engaged in implementing a human rights based approach (HRBA) in Ireland and have demonstrated knowledge of HRBA and the human rights framework.
Applicants will need to demonstrate an understanding of human rights based approaches and commitment to implementing HRBA in their work.
Participants of the advanced course will deepen their understanding of HRBA, be able to identify opportunities for implementing HRBA into their work, and practice inserting HRBA into policies and programmes.
The application deadline is Tuesday, 20 January. The fee for the course is €100, with discretionary concession rates. The course runs from 9am to 5pm each day. All applicants must be committed to attend the full duration of the course.
