Her favourite event in Dublin
“St Patrick’s Day was definitely my favourite,” said Christine Basile, a Boston University student currently studying at Dublin City University.
The psychology major adds: “it was fun being able to be with everyone and go crazy.”
Originally from New Jersey, Christine had never celebrated St Patrick’s Day like she had this year in Dublin. “We went and saw the parade, then went to a few different pubs and conversed with the local folk before stopping by to eat at Queen of Tarts.”
Her favourite pub and/or landmark in Dublin
Without even needing to stop and think about it, Christine lists her favourite landmark as St Stephen's Green.
“It is really pretty and calming and if you want to get away from the city it’s a nice place to just relax, read a book and people watch.”
Meanwhile, Christine’s favourite pub in Dublin is Doyles on College Street.
“Definitely Doyles," she says, “because it’s good for everyone.”
Christine says the pub’s multiple floors provide great, yet different atmospheres.
“The main floor is good for friends to just sit and talk over a pint, but the first floor is good for busting a move!”
