2 Guns Dir: Baltasar Kormákur

Last update - Thursday, August 15, 2013, 12:52 By Eda Halis

Action movie 2 Guns takes two US agents posing as criminals – played by veteran actors Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg – who are forced to work together, though each is unaware of the other’s secret mission.

Both are good at their jobs and always carry out their tasks successfully, but they don’t trust each other. When they are forced to team up on their most recent mission – a mission neither knows the other is working undercover – problems arise when they’re accused of stealing money.

To clear their name, they must put aside their differences. It’s an action movie cliché as old as the genre itself, but it makes for a rip-roaring experience.

The film was directed by Baltasar Kormákur, who previously made drama The Deep and action thriller Contraband, and is similar to that classic action movie Lethal Weapon.

2 Guns is in cinemas starting 16 August.
