Appeal for info over body found in bag

Last update - Wednesday, February 1, 2012, 17:05 By Metro Éireann

Gardaí are appealing for information after the body of a Malawian student was dumped in a holdall near the Phoenix Park on 29 January.

The remains of a black woman in her mid-20s, who is thought to have been in Ireland for two years, were discovered on the pavement at St David’s Terrace off Blackhorse Ave, close to McKee Barracks.
Gardaí believe that the body was on the street at some stage in the afternoon or evening prior to 7pm on the previous day (Saturday 28 January) and are appealing to anyone who may have any information, or who may have seen unusual or suspicious behaviour in and around the junction of Blackhorse Ave and North Circular Road.
Contact Bridewell Garda Station at 01 666 8200, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
